Makerspace - Laser Cutting Design Workshop In-Person

Only currently affiliated UNLV students, faculty, and staff may use the Makerspace, and must have completed the Makerspace Orientation and signed the user agreement.

This workshop will cover how to create design files in Illustrator that can then be used to cut out paper board, felt, acrylic or plywood available for purchase from the Makerspace. We will go over drawing vector paths, converting images to vectors, setting up files for the laser machines, and starting a laser cut.

Please be aware that this time will not be allocated towards your specific project. The laser cutter requires an appointment to use with a staff member, but you do not need to take this workshop in order to use it.
