Community Archives 101 workshop In-Person

Special Collections and Archives is hosting a free, daylong Community Archives 101 workshop for Las Vegas community organizations who are interested in learning how to organize and preserve their own historical archives and/or conduct oral history interviews. Session times will be staggered throughout the day so individuals can attend any or all of the four sessions.

The workshop will also include a tour of Special Collections & Archives, an opportunity to view our Digital Collections lab, or one-on-one time with the instructors for additional information on how to apply the archives techniques to your own materials.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. At the end of the day, we will provide attendees with an archives kits to use as you begin to organize and preserve your materials.

Class size is limited to 20. To ensure availability for multiple organizations, attendance is limited to two attendees per organization. Please fill out the brief application form by February 9 to reserve your spot.
