Practical Open Access: Demystifying the ways to share your work with a global audience In-Person

Does making your research articles open access sound daunting, expensive, or complicated? While it can be each of those things, there are strategies for mitigating costs and saving time that can help researchers navigate those challenges and enjoy the benefits of open access. Additionally, U.S. federal funding agencies are releasing new and revised plans to ensure public access to federally funded research.

This event seeks to detangle these issues and help UNLV scholars take advantage of the ways in which they can share their publications globally. Enjoy lunch with your colleagues in order to:

  • Gain insights into the pressing issues open access and public access and learn tips for navigating both
  • Share your successes with and questions about open access article publishing
  • Learn about resources that support open access article publishing for yourself as well as students and other authors you mentor or advise

This session is open to UNLV faculty and graduate students. Lunch will be provided.
