Rethinking the Hierarchy of Evidence In-Person
Whose work gets recognized as “real” research, and whose is dismissed? Why do some methods get held up as rigorous while others are seen as less valid? In this session, we’ll look at how traditional evidence hierarchies came to be, the limits they create, and how they shape whose voices are included in scholarship. Together, we’ll explore other ways of thinking about rigor and how broadening our view of evidence can open space for more representative knowledge production.
