Meet the Author: Gambling with Lives by Dr. Michelle Turk In-Person
Join us for an author talk with Michelle Turk, Ph.D., Instructor in the UNLV Honors College. Turk is the author of Gambling with Lives: A History of Occupational Health in Greater Las Vegas, which looks at how the health and welfare of Las Vegas workers has evolved from the dawn of William Andrews Clark's railroad empire to the cautionary rise of mega casinos along the Strip.
This event will take place in the Third Floor Gallery space. Lunch will be provided.
This program is part of the School of Medicine Library's ongoing author talk series in partnership with the Narrative Medicine Interest Group.
