Finding Local Data Online

This workshop will focus on techniques for finding local data from numerous sources including government, open-access, and UNLV Libraries’ licensed databases.

Participants will identify different text analysis methods (i.e. close and distant reading, networks, and frequencies), utilize the different tools provided by Voyant to analyze sample text, and brainstorm ways text analysis can be used in your own research projects.

This virtual workshop series is sponsored by the UNLV Libraries and is open to students, faculty, alumni, and community members.
